Sultan Refusal to Dissolve Assembly

The Royal Highness Sultan of Perak had refused to grant a dissolution. I received a lot of calls and sms-es addressing the sadness over the issue, same to me... Is the decision in line with what had been said by Raja Muda Raja Dr Nazrin Shah that: "as the head of state at the state level and head of the country at the national level, the Ruler plays a role in upholding stability and justice, and strengthening solidarity and unity"? Should put a bigger question mark for discussion here...

  1. When PR wanted to form the Perak Government, the Sultan wanted commitment from the ADUNs. Is it logic for the Sultan to accept the same commitment when the ADUNs are on the other side?

  6. Let's face it.

The monarchy is in this somehow. i am not sure where but in this hour of needs, he have betray the people of Perak.

How can he chose a goverment which have less than 50% of the Perakian support ?

If he do such a thing, then he must have vested personal interest. What the Raja Muda or the Sultan Talk about unity, equality or for the people are all rubbish.

Finally is just me, me and me.

  7. My letter to Tuanku,

    Ampun Tuanku,

I hope when you make your decision, you may have realised that during the last general election in March 2008, the BN have less than 50% of the support of the people in Perak.

To be Exact it is at 42% only.

They have 2 "FRog" questionable assemblyman who is about to face the court for corruption and a Hee who only less than 12 month ago say all the bad things you could ever imagine about BN. Suddenly they defect. Why ? No money involved ? Only god will know.

Is Tuanku support such hopping and actions ? Is Tuanku really making a decision from the heart ? Only Tuanku will know.

Rain of shine outside, Tuanku you may never know, because you have the best surrounding you. What you ask you will get immediately ? We rakyat, as you know suffer.

But for us rakyat in Perak, we have suffer enough all these years and hence why most of us vote for the opposition in the last election and hope BN will change their ways and make us better in the future.

By the stroke of your mighty pen, we are back to square one. The old and corrupted State Goverment will rise again with your support.

Respect is to be earned, I hope you have make the right decision.

  8. When the monarchy sell our country to British by submitting humbly to Harold MacMichael, my grandfather and other Malay fought for the monarchy and restore it because they hope that the monarchy will be useful to the Malay. It is clear now that the monarchy is totally useless and I swear that me and my lineage will fight against this tyrant monarchy till the very end!
