Our late Sdr Fan Yew Teng Memorial will be held at Hotel Excelsior on 06.01.2011 (Thursday) 7.45pm.
The invited Speakers among others are Fan's wife, Dr Norleen and 2 daughthers, Mr Fan Siang Than (brother), DAP - Sdr. Dr Chen Man Hin, Sdr Kit Siang, Sdr M Kula, Sdr Ngeh, Dr Su (Canning Methodist Church), Fan's friend Mr. Chan Kok Keong and rep from SUARAM.
Fan was once the DAP Acting Secretary-General and the MP for Menglembu. He was convicted under the Sedition Act for an article published on the Rockets. This has led to a constitutional crisis whereby the Election Commission had called for a by-election in Menglembu without the appeal first being exhausted.
Fan contested in Tebing Tebing in 1999 and lost to BN's Chew Wai Khoon.
